George Hacke Obituary

Hacke, George Age 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 18, 2013. He was born April 5, 1932 in Joliet, Illinois to George William and Bessie Hansen Hacke. On July 20, 1952, George married his loving wife Beverly Jean Gregory. They were married for 55 years. In 1990 George retired after working at Commonwealth Edison as a Nuclear Engineer for 38 years. George and his wife Beverly moved to Florida in 1997 and built a home in Point Washington, FL. George loved the Lord and served him in many capacities. He was a devout Missouri Synod Lutheran. George volunteered countless hours with the Labors of Christ to help build Grace Lutheran Church in Destin, FL and also Christ Our Savior in Panama City, FL. He was the founding member of Hope Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, and helping others. George will be truly missed by many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Hacke; mother, Bessie Hansen Hacke; and father, George William Hacke. George is survived by his two children, Cindy Morgan and husband Clay of Point Washington, FL and Gregg Hacke of Freeport, FL; one grandson, Clayton Morgan and wife Amanda of Point Washington, FL; one brother, Karl Hacke of Colorado; one sister, Joan Stockdell of Arizona; four nephews and two nieces. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2013 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 3422 U.S. 98 #4, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459 with Reverends Ray Angerman and Jason Scheler officiating. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.daviswatkins.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home and Crematory.
