Georgia Dean Scott was born November 27, 1941. She was the tenth child of the late George and Willie Mae Jones.
Georgia attended Joliet Central High School and worked for Uniroyal Seiko Steel in Lemont, IL. She also served in her later years as a caregiver.
Georgia met her husband Robert Scott at a school talent show and they married in 1961. She dedicated her life to Jehovah on April 13, 1996, and enjoyed preaching and teaching about Jehovah God.
At the age of 80, Georgia departed this life on July 3, 2022, with her family at her bedside.
Preceded in death. By her parents, her son, Marcus G. Scott; brothers, Henry (Lillie Pearl) Jones, Denson (Barbara) Jones, Shelly (Kay) Jones, Edward (Guyzelle) Jones, James Jones, Babe Ruth Jones, and Robert Earl Jones; sisters, Clara Mae Jones and Louise Jones McAllister; one niece, Vivian Smith and one great-granddaughter, Myliah Brielle Scott.
Georgia leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 61 years, Robert Scott; daughters, Desiree (Sally) Scott, and Latonya "Tasha" (Vic) Flowers; sons, Robert "Qshelf" (Renee) Scott, Derrick (Tamika) Scott, and Dana (Janayha) Scott; 28 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 15, 2022, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Service at 11:00AM. Interment to immediately follow the service at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
