James E. Brown

James Edward Brown Age 89, born July 31, 1921 in the state of Mississippi, passed away at Fairview Care Center on October 4, 2010. He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company, Joliet IL. James was preceded in death by his father, Robert Brown and mother, Martha Hammond, two brothers, three sisters, three daughters, three grandchildren and a host of other relatives. James leaves to cherish his life; five sons, Eddie Lee, of Sacramento, CA, Dr. Lester Brown (Beverly), Joseph Louis Brown, Ray Charles Brown (Mary), Michael Joe Brown, two daughters, Sherry Ann Askia, and Scherris Lynn Holoway all of Joliet, Illinois, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends who love and will miss him. James was a member of Good Samaritan Ministry of Joliet where his son Dr. Lester Brown is the Pastor. James accepted Christ at a young age and would say often, "The Good Lord" will take care of me. James was someone special to all that knew him and he loved to laugh and have a good time. Visitation will be held Friday, October 8, 2010 2-5 pm at Friendship Baptist Church, 201 Sherman St., Joliet, IL and Saturday, October 9, 2010 12 Noon to 1:00 pm, Rev. Gary R. Williams, pastor.
