Janece Balser (nee Brault), age 93, entered into eternal life on April 28, 2021.
She was born in Mt. Vernon, South Dakota and moved to Kankakee, Illinois at age 10. She graduated from Herscher High School in 1945. While living in Kankakee, Janece worked for state representative, Harry L. Topping, Turk Furniture, and the International Harvester District Office. She moved to Ocala, Florida in 1951 with her parents. Janece married Joseph P. Balser in November of 1952 in Ocala prior to moving to Joliet, IL. Janece spent the remainder of her life in Joliet where she was a wife, mother, and homemaker.
Janece enjoyed sports, music, travel, genealogy, casinos, and being the Block Captain of the neighborhood watch. In her younger days she participated in exhibition rollerskating and bowling. She also sang in the Cathedral of St. Raymond's choir as well as the St. Jude's choir. She loved music and playing the organ even into her final days. She attended every sporting event, dance recital, and drama play that her grandchildren participated in. She was a die hard fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Bulls.
Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Balser (1997), her loving parents Leo (1973) and May Brault (1975), brother Clair Brault (2000), mother-in-law Helen Kavanaugh (1975), Sister-in-law Betty Mattson (2008), and beautiful granddaughter Darcy Chobar (2015).
Survived by her 2 daughters, JoAnne Matichak and Gina White (John) . Loving grandchildren, Timothy Matichak Jr., Andrew Matichak (Krystal) of Atlanta, Georgia, Sarah Matichak, and Jason Chobar of Scottsdale, Arizona and her great-grandchildren Lotte and Zack.

Per Janece's wishes, cremation rights were accorded. There will be a private memorial and ceremony at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL this summer where Janece will be laid to rest next to her husband of 45 years, Joseph Balser.
