Jeffery Gass Obituary
Born: February 3, 1959
Died: August 28, 2021
Jeff was a graduate of Lockport Township High School, class of 1977. Jeff married his beloved wife, Kathleen (Neal) on August 2, 1980. Jeff and Kathy were thrilled when daughter Alyssa joined the family.
Jeff is survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Alyssa and brothers Terri and Tim Gass. Many nieces and nephews will miss him. Preceded in death by Bob and Hazel Gass.
Jeff joined General Motors Fisher Body Plant in Willow Springs in 1977 where he met his bride Kathy. He was a Tool and Die Apprentice until the plant closed. He continued with General Motors in Bolingbrook where he was voted as Union Stewart Committeeman and eventually rose to be Shop Chairman. He enjoyed retirement for over a year.
Jeff was a sports enthusiast, avid basketball fan and loved to watch the Bears game with friends.
He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. Jeff had a great sense of humor and was a prankster. He also had the uncanny ability to talk with anybody and could be very persuasive.
The family will receive friends and family for a memorial celebration on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Care Cremation Center, 515 Anderson Drive in Romeoville, IL from 3:00 to 4:30.
