Joseph Baietti Obituary
Joseph "Pino" Baietti, age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 4, 2016, with his loving family by his side.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Caterina (Chiodelli) Baietti; two children, Maristella "Stella" Baietti, an Elementary/Special Education teacher with a BA, and Dr. John Joseph Baietti, D.C. (David Morales); one granddaughter, Andrea Marie Martinez (Ismael Vela, Jr.); and one great-grandson, Xavier Robert Martinez. Also survived by numerous relatives in Italy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emanuele and Giuseppina (Perini) Baietti; one son, Robert Peter Baietti; one sister, Maria; two brothers, Daniele and Arturo.
Joseph was born in Pozzaglio ed Uniti, Italy in 1925. He proudly served in the Italian Military before sailing to America with his wife and 1 year old daughter on the Andrea Doria in 1956. Settled in Mayville, Wisconsin where he worked in cheese manufacturing for 15 years and opened an Italian Restaurant. Later came to Joliet where Joseph worked for Mancuso Cheese and then for the Joliet Public Schools until retirement.
Joseph was an avid horse lover and enjoyed spending time at the track. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting and playing cards. He loved to sing and had a wonderful voice. He worked hard to take care of his family. He never missed a day of work. He was a devoted and loving family man with a sense of humor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 710 W Marion in Joliet. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Maria, ricordo quando eravamo a Montanara: avevi due bambine piccole, Resi e Daniella, insegnavi tutto il giorno, cucinavi alla sera, mi svegliavi alle 3 del mattino per andare al lavoro.
Maria, hai lavorato duro; tante grazie da tuo fratello.
