Joseph Mucka Obituary

Joseph G. Mucka, Jr.

Born: August 13, 1950

Died: December 3, 2020

Age 70 of Chicago, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Swedish Covenant Hospital.

Born August 13, 1950 in Chicago, Joseph was the son of Joseph, Sr. and Lucille (Chiavola) Mucka. He was raised and educated in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of the city. Joseph was employed with the Chicago Park District for a number of years and then became an anger management counselor and a valuable part of the Anger Management Clinic staff until retiring. In his free time, Joseph enjoyed talking politics and spending time with friends. He was a member of the Rising Phoenix Motorcycle Club and was also a huge Beatles and Elvis Presley fan. Joseph was always keeping up with his favorite sporting events, whether on television or attending games in person. He will be remembered for his generous monetary contributions to various charitable organizations, but even more so, with his line of work, always taking the time to help anyone who needed assistance. Whether in his office or at the corner bus stop. Joseph will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sister: Kitty (Rich) Johnston; daughter: Carol (Bob) Husak; granddaughter: Sarah Husak; three nephews: Michael (Rachel), Gregory (Theresa) and Lucas (Meghan) Johnston; four great-nieces: Brigid, Hannah, Meara and Charlotte, and great-nephew: Arthur, as well as numerous cousins and close friends.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents: Joseph Mucha, Sr. and Lucille Zeller; sister: E. Bonnie Cronin, and cousins: Louis Chiavola and Nicholas Chiavola.
