Died: October 1, 2022 in Lemont, IL
Karen Ann Garvey (nee Gerharz), 83, of Lemont, IL, passed away October 1st at home with her husband by her side.
She was born June 4th, 1939. Karen married David Garvey in 1964. She earned her degree in Education at the College of St. Francis and was a teacher at Gower School for many years
She is survived by her husband, David, her sons Timothy (Jenifer) and David (Elizabeth), grandchildren Cara (Mark), Madeline, Jack and James. She was preceded in death by her parents Urban and Marian Gerharz, Sister Marilyn (the late Robert) Bebber, Brother Urban Gerharz and beloved niece Natalie Marie Garvey.
Karen was a lifelong Lemont resident who also enjoyed her summers at Indian Lake, Michigan. Karen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be remembered for her quick wit, generosity and dedication to her family.
Memorial visitation Thursday October 6, 2022 from 4-7 P.M. at Gerharz Funeral Home & Cremation Services 501 State St., Lemont. Interment private. Info 630-257-2123
