Kenneth M. Moyer
"Ken"
Age 91, late of Orland Park, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Born and raised in Souderton, Pennsylvania, went to college in Wheaton, IL, lived in Glen Ellyn, Plainfield, the Lago Vista community in Lockport for 15 years while spending winters in Englewood, Florida and a resident of Smith Crossing in Orland Park for the past four years. Kenneth owned and operated a State Farm Insurance Agency in Norridge, IL for many dedicated years, retiring in 1997. He faithfully attended Parkview Christian Church in Orland Park. He loved to watch Chicago sports when he wasn't playing golf or tennis.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Duane K. (Nee Knafl) Moyer (2020); one son, Eric Moyer (2019); his father, Jay Warren Moyer; and his mother, Miriam (Nee Moyer) Nyce.
Survived by his devoted daughter Juli (Joseph) Polino of Homer Glen; one adored granddaughter, Jessica Polino; two brothers, Clare (Chris) Moyer, and David (Wanda) Nyce; two sisters, Caroline (Tom) Speakman, Debbie (Rick) Walker. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society or Parkview Christian Church would be greatly appreciated.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441, from 10:00am until time of Memorial Service at 12:00pm. Inurnment following service at Barnett Cemetery, Lockport, IL.
