Luvarn Harrell Obituary

Born February 8, 1926 in Bay Springs, MS to Vergil and Arlone Ducksworth. She departed this life on April 2, 2009. She began her career as a C.N.A., and retired from Sunny Hill, later returning to work at Glenwood Care Center, and eventually permanently retired.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Harrell, Sr; parents; daughter, Brenda Harrell; three brothers; one sister; three grandchildren; and one brother-in-law.

Survived by her children, Walter Harrell, Jr., Dorothy Knight, Cora Walker, and Zandria Harrell; two granddaughters whom she adopted, Zina Lain and Shiquita Harrell; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 13, 2009 10 am at St. John M.B. Church, 104 E. Zarley Blvd., Joliet, IL. Service at 11 am, Pastor Herbert Brooks, Jr., officiating. Interment following at Mt. Vernon Memorial Estates, Lemont, IL.
