Sister Margaret Anne Spagnola, OSM, age 73, born into this life on March 30, 1949, in Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully into her eternal life on October 10, 2022.
Sister Margaret Anne is survived by her loving sisters, Carolyn (Sherwood) Hanford of Homer Glen, IL, and Tina Louise Spagnola of Naples, FL; her beloved aunt, Mary D'Adam; her niece; Carrie (Branko) Planojevic and nephews; Matthew (Angie) Hanford, and Anthony (Holly) Hanford and grandnieces and grandnephews, as well as the entire Servite Community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Rose Spagnola.
Sister Margaret Anne was a Mantellate Sister Servant of Mary for 52 years. She also served on the administration team of the Mantellate Sisters. She taught at St. George School, Tinley Park, IL. and in the Joliet Dioceses taught at St. Denis and Providence High School. She was Pastoral Associate for St. Mary Immaculate Parish in Plainfield, IL, and currently at St. Anne's Parish in Oswego IL Sister Margaret Anne was the present acting spiritual advisor for the Secular Servants Marian Lake Community.

Visitation will be Friday, October 14, 3:00 until 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 15, 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, Oswego. Interment will follow at St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Plainfield.
