Mark Steven Harff

Age 57, of Joliet, IL passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and love Wednesday evening, January 20, 2021. He was born January 25, 1963 to Nora (nee McKenzie) and Walter Harff in Tinley Park, IL. He was raised and educated in Lockport, a graduate with the class of 1981 from Lockport Township High School.

He is the beloved husband of 39 years to Laurie M. (nee Wright); loving father of Kristie M. Burger, the late Kerri L. Harff and Katrina L. Ellis; proud grandfather of Lilly, Genevieve and Jaxson. Mark is also survived by his father Walter D. Harff; five sisters, Star Bach, Lee Harff, Doreen Allen, Darlene Johnston, Bonnie Harff and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his daughter Kerri, in infancy and his mother, Nora Harff.

Mark was affiliated with local 150 as a Field Mechanic and was employed for over 25 years at TJ Lambrecht. A member of Pathway Church, he shined through his faith and was always willing to share his faith with everyone.

Faith, family and friends is what Mark's loved one's will most remember about how he lived his life, however he was also known to have an affinity for rebuilding cars and computers, riding dirt bikes, while favorite family activities included bike riding, rollerblading, tennis and fishing. He was also a talented sketch and pastel artist.

As it was Mark's wish cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial service and celebration of his life will take place Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Pathway Church 19554 NW Frontage Road in Shorewood, IL where visitation will begin at 5 p.m. until Mark's tribute starts at 6 p.m. In respect for high risk family members and others that have medical issues we are respectfully asking everyone to wear masks at the memorial service due to COVID-19 pandemic.

In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations in his name can be made to Pathway Church, Joliet Area Community Hospice or the Humane Society.
