Mary T. Martin (nee Hogan) age 87, long-time resident of Mokena, IL passed away peacefully March 19, 2022. She was born on November 28, 1934 in Chicago.
Beloved wife of the late William F. Martin; loving mother of Thomas (Karen), Mike (Missy), Therese and John (Thea); cherished grandmother of Katie, Sarah, Lauren, Dave, Michael, Danny, Jakeb, Nina, and Spencer.
Graduate of St. Bernard's School of Nursing in Chicago. Longtime employee of the W.A. Howe Developmental Center in Tinley Park. Parishioner of St. Mary's of Mokena and member of the Council of Catholic Women since 1969. Lifelong friend of the Just Us Girls club.
Her defining maxim was In Medio Stat Virtus (all things in moderation) except when it came to her family and friends whom she loved wholeheartedly.
Visitation Saturday, March 26, 2022, 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 10:00 AM, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 19515 115th Ave. Mokena, IL 60448. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Bonaventure Indian Mission in Thoreau, NM, or Mercy Home for Boys and Girls would be greatly appreciated.
