Webb, Michael J. Age 67. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at his late residence surrounded by his family. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet area resident. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran from 1965-69 serving in Vietnam. Retired from Caterpillar, Inc. in Joliet as an assembler after 19 years of service. A member of American Legion Post #1080. His favorite thing in life was spending time with his grandchildren. Survived by his wife, Audrey (nee Wynne); sons, Steve (Joan) Kemnetz, Sr., and Joe (Denise) Kemnetz; daughter, Amy (Todd) Barth; six grandchildren, Ali (Jimmy) Glaum, Kate Cargle, Steven Kemnetz, Jr., Abby Kemnetz, and Jackson and Alexis Barth; three great-grandchildren, Brendan, James and Andrew Glaum; his mother, Rosemary (nee Scahill) Webb; sisters, Judy (Jerry) Capista, Cathy Phelan, and Patsy (John) Rice; brothers, Bill Webb and Jim (Sharon) Webb; his aunt, Joann Tapella and several nieces and nephews. Preceded by his father, William Webb; brothers, Robert and Dennis Webb; sister-in-law, Judy Webb and his nephew, Tony Capista. Funeral services for Michael J. Webb will be Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Father Dennis Paul will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials for his surviving family to be used in accordance with their wishes would be appreciated. Private interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by the U. S. Marine Corps. Visitation Sunday from 1-5 p.m. at: FRED C.
