Michelle Sarcletti Obituary

Michelle Cecilia Sarcletti
Michelle Cecilia Sarcletti, 33, of Naperville, IL, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of June 22, 2025. She was born on December 21, 1991, in Joliet, IL, the daughter of Robert and Kimberly Sarcletti. Michelle brought warmth, kindness, and generosity to all who knew her.
A graduate of Plainfield Central High School, Michelle was a Plainfield Pomcat. She went on to earn her Bachelor's of Science Degree with a concentration in Public Health from DePaul University, graduating Cum Laude. Her commitment to service continued in her professional life, where she worked as a Meeting Planner for the American College of Surgeons, a nonprofit organization, putting her passion for public service and meticulous planning skills to impactful use.
Michelle lived a vibrant and active life. During her early years, she loved rollerblading and participating in the Tough Mudder. As time went on, her zest for life continued through her travels, both near and far, with cherished friends and family. She enjoyed playing pickleball, skiing, jet skiing, photography, reading and going for long walks with Ginny. She was always on the move, whether it was going to see a friend or family member or diving into a new activity. However, above all, she treasured time spent with her nieces and nephews, who meant the world to her. Michelle's joyful spirit and warm presence were a gift to everyone she encountered. She made it her mission to build a personal relationship with each person and made an impact on so many. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Michelle is survived by her parents, Kimberly (Ayers) Sarcletti and Robert (Leona) Sarcletti; her sister and best friend, Rachel (Christopher) Reardon; and brother, Nicholas (fiancée Hope Fickett) Sarcletti. Michelle was a devoted and proud aunt to her nieces and nephews, Avery, Connor, and Owen Reardon. The family joked that her niece and nephews were her children that her sister gave birth to. She also leaves behind her maternal grandfather, John Ayers; and her paternal grandparents, Robert and Pattie Sarcletti. Her loyal canine companion, "Ginny," was always by her side and held a special place in her heart.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Bernadette Ayers; paternal grandmother, Caryl Sarcletti; and her first dog, Tequila.
One of Michelle's favorite quotes from her gratitude journal: "The sun is perfect and you woke this morning…. You have a name, and someone wants to call it. Five fingers on your hand and someone wants to hold it….If we start there, everything, for a moment, is right in the world. -Warsan Shire"
