Patricia Ann "Pat" Brown (née Zanier), age 78, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, surrounded by her family. Pat was born on June 26, 1947, in Joliet, Illinois, to the late Peter and Iva Zanier. She grew up in Lockport and attended Lockport Township High School. She was devoted to the children she cared for in daycare and took great joy in feeding anyone who stopped by to see her. Pat was a Porter fan all her life. She loved being part of her community and contributed her time and energy to the LTHS Foundation and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Pat is survived by her son, Tony (Cheryl) Blowers; son-in-law, Albert Mendez; grandchildren, Brett and Jaxon Blowers, Andrew, Michael, Alexis, and Nikki Mendez; and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Carol (Ed) Callahan, Debbra (John) Kokaly, and Peter Zanier, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Pat cherished her friendships with Kim, Alan, Andrew, and Aiden Bean; Rita Anderson; and Gail Raucci, who were like family to her.
She was preceded in death by Archie, her loving husband of 34 years; her parents; her son, Randy Blowers; daughter, Cynthia Mendez; grandson, Stephen Blowers; and sisters, Kathy (Zanier) Hahn and Nancy Zanier.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton St., Lockport, IL 60441. Cremation rites will be accorded, and inurnment will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Lockport City Cemetery.
