Richard R. Gorecki, Sr.

Richard R. Gorecki, Sr., age 84 of Plainfield, IL passed away on April 7, 2023. He was born on November 30, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois. Rich is survived by his children: Richard (Cyndi Grant) Gorecki, Jr. of Naperville, IL; Pamela (Don) Benuska of Dewey, AZ, and Michael Gorecki, Sr. of Joliet, IL, and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Rich's sister, Elaine Kathleen (Robert) Golen of Shorewood, IL also survives him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Walter Gorecki and Helen Mary (Polchlopek) Gorecki, his sister, Arlene Janet (Robert) Repetowski, and his former spouse, June Carolyn (Baechtold) Gorecki.
Internment will be at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. followed by a private luncheon for immediate family. All those who loved Rich are invited to a celebration of his life on May 7th, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Plainfield, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute in Rich's name to the American Cancer Society or the organization of your choice.
