Robert Dernick Obituary

"Bob"

Age 87, of Lockport, passed away November 15, 2008 at Salem Village in Joliet.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII.

He played the accordion, organ, avid bowler and Cubs fan. Retired from Material Service Corp. and Bob Dernick Television Repair Service.

Bob is survived by his loving family; children, Lynne Rigoni, Diane Shaw, Robin (Greg) St. George and Bobbi Barr; he is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and lifelong friends, Marty and Shirley Burcenski.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine (nee Sartori) Dernick; parents Joseph and Emily (nee Schraeder) Dernick; grandson, Brian Shaw; and three sisters; and two brothers; three sons-in-law, Don (Pee Wee) Rigoni, John Shaw, Jack Riebe.

Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 South Hamilton Street, Lockport, on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 from 5 until 8 pm. Funeral Service Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 11:30am in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be held at Lockport City Cemetery, Lockport, IL.
