Born: August 26, 1936 in Joliet, IL
Died: August 17, 2025 in Lisle, IL
Ruth A. Bookout "Ruthie"
Nee: Remus
Age 86, passed away Sunday August 17, 2025 at Brookdale of Lisle.
Survived by her daughter Dana (Bob) Lill; grandchildren and great grandchildren Jennifer (Kevin) Muff, their children Leo and Matilda; Kevin (Sarah) Lill their children Noah and Jack; Steven (Kendall) Lill, their child McKenna; one sister Kitty (John) Moore; one brother-in-law Jim Maloney. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her husband Leo Bookout; parents Tim and Eileen (Witty) Remus; one sister Shirley Maloney.
Born in Joliet, a Joliet and Minooka resident. Ruth and Leo were snowbirds spending the winter in Florida. Ruth loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday August 23, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jud Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
