Age of 43, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center.
Born July 5, 1981, in Newport Beach, California, Stephanie was the daughter of Steven and Cynthia M. (Née Balstrode) Geiger.
She attended St. Jude Catholic School, Joliet, Minooka Community High School and graduated from Joliet Township West High School (Class of 1999).
Stephanie loved playing basketball throughout her school years and enjoyed working out at the gym. She was a caring and devoted mom, daughter and granddaughter, and will truly be missed.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Emma Marie Larkin; devoted mother, Cynthia M. Geiger; dedicated grandparents, Chuck and Lorraine (Strysik) Balstrode; aunts, Patti (Tom) O'Connor and Vicki Balstrode; uncle, Chuck Balstrode, Jr, cousin, Tommy O'Connor; and special friend, Kelly Greer. Stephanie was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Larkin; father, Steven Geiger and grandparents, Frank and Mary Geiger.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family on Friday, March 14, 2025 – 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Avenue, Joliet, for a Mass of Christian Burial, Rev. Michael Lane, officiating.

Been having these vivid images of a blonde girl since January. Decided tonight to really focus on them and the name Stephanie Larkin popped in my head. Decided to Google the name and came upon this. I'll never forget all the good times we had together. It was such a wonderful time in our lives being young and trying to figure out life. Although we grew apart as we got older and time passed you will always have a special place in my heart and our time together will stay with me forever. Rest easy old friend. My thoughts are with all her family amd friends who loved her.

We met while waiting tables at 16. You had a great laugh and a great sense of style. We became great friends.
We took off and moved to Florida, living for the moment.
After Florida, we lost touch, but I always thought of you. Then you had Emma, and somehow, we found our way back into each other´s lives. It had been nearly 15 years since we had really sat down and talked, but I´m so grateful we got that chance.
I´m heartbroken that things ended this way for you. I hope you are at peace.
I´m grateful to have known you. I´m grateful for your mom and the love and care she gives Emma. And I will forever miss the friendship we once shared.
