Stephen Fisk Obituary

Stephen Fisk
Born: August 11, 1966 in Joliet, IL
Died: December 22, 2021 in Morris, IL
Age 55 of Diamond, Illinois, and formerly of Joliet, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Morris Hospital, following a brief battle with COVID. Born August 11, 1966 in Joliet, Stephen Robert is the son of Sally (nee Sheeler) Fisk of Diamond and the late George H. Fisk. He was raised in Joliet; graduated from Minooka High School with the Class of 1984, and went on to attend Joliet Junior College. Steve worked as a CNA at St. Joseph Medical Center for many years. In addition to his genuine caring and nurturing demeanor, Steve will be remembered for his blunt sense of humor and stubborn tendencies. He was a great collector of many things, most notably KISS memorabilia, as well as Mario collectibles. Steve was a fan of the Chicago Bears and always enjoyed working on a project. He was both creative and handy. Gone too soon, Steve who possessed a strong Christian faith, leaves behind a legacy of being a devoted son, loving husband, brother, amazing uncle, and friend to many. Survivors include his wife, Sheri (nee Huston), whom he married March 8, 1997 in New Hope Presbyterian Church; mother Sally; siblings: Sharon (the late Rich) Peck, Mike (Karen) Fisk, Tim (Mary) Fisk, and Polly (Duke) Yaguchi; his "Outlaws", mother-in-law, Wendy Huston; brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Kenny (Hillary) Huston, Darren (Andrea) Huston, Kelly (John) Olson and Mandy (Joel) Eaton; two uncles, Donald Robertson and Robert Frye; one aunt, Diane Fisk, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his father, George Fisk, and his father-in-law, Kenny G. Huston.
The family will received friends for a memorial visitation and service at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Coal City on Sunday, December 26, 2021 Rev. Mark Hughey officiated. The recorded service is available to view online, and a link is available on Steve's Memorial Page.
Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Steve's memory to New Hope Presbyterian Church, 80 N. Garfield St., Coal City, IL 60416.

Polly & Family,
I am saddened to hear of the passing of your brother. The world seems to be getting smaller as Heaven welcomes more and more of our loved ones. There is joy in knowing that we will all be reunited when our time comes.
