Its been 16 days since you've been called to Heaven and honestly I cannot live in peace without you. I wish I could bring you back because I know you did not want to leave just yet. You were waiting for that moment to wake back up and get better to go home. You were tired of everything...Rest in peace Sofia. I know where you are now which brings peace to me but it'll never be the same with you gone.

I was shocked to hear of Vanessa's death.
I knew her from my days at both Ridgewood Baptist and Troy. Her kindness touched the hearts of everyone she met, mine included. I pray for the family.

I still can't believe Vanessa is really gone. I remember her telling me that she might be coming back to school next semester. But she fought a hard battle. And Vanessa was the happiest person I've ever met. She was always jumpy and smiley. I miss Vanessa, and my condolences go out to the Vela family. I hope Vanessa is happy now wherever she is.

dear vela family, I am so sorry for the loss of Vanessa.. she was loved by many, including me. I can sincerely say that she made an impact on my life. I enjoyed having her in classes with me. I looked forward to seeing her happy face everyday. she could bring a smile to anyone's face. and she had the biggest heart. she was known by everyone for being crazy, goofy, and beautiful. she was by far one of the most amazing people I have ever met. I will never forget her. she is in a better place now, looking down at us from heaven.

So sorry for the loss of a beautiful young lady! We've lost ger physically but she lives on in the memories. God bless all tge Vela family during thus moment of grief. Heaven's gate opened and tge Lord Himself welcomed her home with open arms as he whispered her name and told her how much he loved her. No more suffering, no more pain. Just an abundance of joy and peace. Will be praying for strenght and understanding! Love you all!

Vanessa was an amazing girl who touched the hearts of many including me. It is sad to loose her at such a young age but thankfully she is no longer suffering. God has gained another amazing angel. Vanessa was a pleasure to be around in badminton and was a great friend even if we didn't talk much.
