Wayne Schewe Obituary

Wayne Arthur Schewe Jr.
Born: June 19, 1970 in Joliet, IL
Died: December 27, 2021 in Naperville, IL
Wayne Arthur Schewe Jr., age 51, died at Edwards Hospital due to complications of Covid-19 on Monday, December 27, 2021 with his loving family by his side.
Born June 19, 1970 in Joliet to Wayne Schewe Sr. and Beverly Schewe (nee Slucki). He attended St. Raymond's Grade School and graduated from Joliet Catholic High School. He went on to receive his Bachelors Degree in Mortuary Science from Worsham College of Mortuary Science. For 28 years, Wayne was a proud, dedicated funeral director and embalmer. After working for multiple funeral homes in the area Wayne went on to accomplish his lifelong dream of owning his own Funeral and Cremation Service where he was able to serve families and honor their loved ones.
Wayne was a former board member at Joliet Catholic Academy as well as a former board member of the Center for Disability Services. He took great pride and enjoyed all of the time he put into the JCA Alumni Facebook Page. He also took great pride in helping his parents at the Crow's Nest Bar.
Wayne was a happy-go-lucky prankster, never failing to make someone smile. He touched so many people's lives and will be missed dearly by all. He was a huge fan of the Three Stooges, the Chicago White Sox and the Joliet Catholic Football Team.
Wayne was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Shellie Schewe (nee Borgra); an amazing father to his three children, Britney, Jaiden and Ryland Schewe who were the light of his life; a beloved son to his parents, Wayne A. Schewe Sr. and Beverly Schewe (nee Slucki); brother to Shelee (Jeff) Bays and Jason Schewe; he was also the best animal dad to his two cats, Zoey and Ruby; and his pup, Nico who all miss him dearly. Wayne also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Wayne is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Josephine Schewe; maternal grandparents, John and Margaret Slucki; as well as two cousins, Lauren Ley and Ron Brereton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family would be appreciated.
A celebration of Wayne's life will begin Friday, January 7, 2022 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family invites relatives and friends to join them on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:30 a.m. Per Wayne's wishes cremation rites will be accorded following Mass. Masks will be required. Obituary and tribute wall for Wayne A. Schewe Jr. are available at www.tezakfuneralhome.com. Arrangements entrusted to:
