William H. Bremmer, age 63, born May 23rd, 1958, passed away at Lightways Joliet Hospice surrounded by loving family and friends on September 4th, 2021 after a courageous nine year battle with cancer. William (Billy) was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Karen (Kolb) during their 37 years together as well as step-dad to two daughters, Becky (Michael) Luth and Lauren Cullen (fiancé Michael Bloom). Billy was a wonderful "Bo Bo" to his two grandsons, Michael Jr. and Matthew Luth. Billy was an avid race fan and spent many weekends at Indy and NHRA races as well as restoring vintage muscle cars. He was a true Beatles fan and historian as well as a passionate Chicago White Sox, Bears, and Illini fan. He loved fishing and camping and could be found each September's end in LaCrosse, WI celebrating Oktoberfest. Ever the life of the party, Billy was a friend to all and loved to make everyone who entered his home feel welcomed. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, William and Elvira "Beco" Bremmer. He is survived by his siblings Martin (Gretchen) Bremmer, Andrew (Cathy) Bremmer, Russell (Lynda) Bremmer, Rufus Bremmer, and Ann (Mark) Brunzie. He was also a beloved uncle to Kristen and Emily Bremmer, Corinne (Kennon) Fleisher, Cody, Jake, and Jamie Bremmer, Greg, Maggie, and Keith Bremmer, Evan Bremmer, James Brunzie, Jason (Jessica) Christina and Jeremy Kolb, several great nephews and nieces, and countless friends that Billy considered family. The family would like to extend special thanks to Billy's close friends Greg Meisenbach, Rusty Jadron, Tom Riffle and Bob Hoffmeyer.A Memorial Mass will be held to honor his life on Friday, October 1st at 10:00 AM at St. Dennis Catholic Church, Lockport, Illinois. Services entrusted to Anderson-Goodale Memorial Homes 815-838-1533

Please accept my deepest sympathy. Billy and my brother Glenn Kwarta were friends before Glenn died in 1986.

We were shocked to hear of Billy's passing. We were even at Billy's Baptismal. Aunt Beco and Aunt Hopie took care of Gary and I when we were little. Got to see Billy at Aunt Beco's wake. We will miss him.
