William "Bill" M. Sklare
William "Bill" M. Sklare, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.
Survived by his wife of 34 years, Barbara Sklare (nee Johnstone); daughter, Mary-Lynn (George) Foster-Krueger; siblings, Joyce Allen, Dr. John (Laura) Sklare, and Patricia Dietz; sister in law's, Nancy (Carlos) Sanchez, and Patti (Tom Cobetto) Mau; his faithful cats, Buddy and Andy. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, Henry (Catherine) Sklare; sister-in-law, Brenda Sklare; brother in law's, Dave Allen and Billy Dietz; in law's, James and Elaine Johnstone and a few close friends.
Bill was born and raised in Joliet. He attended Joliet West High School, class of 1971. He retired from Triumph Professional Plaza as a building manager. In his retirement, he enjoyed working at Zobel's Tavern. Bill enjoyed fishing, golfing, the Chicago Bears and he was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Bills happy place was making sure his yard was well kept. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Per Bill's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Bill was a great friend during Jr. / High school years. Spent countless hours walking the neighborhood before we could drive. Haven't seen Bill for decades but I still often remember the times we had growing up. RIP old friend....
