To all the Howard family, you are in our thoughts and prayers in this time of loss. They say we should celebrate their life and not mourn their passing but I found that is very difficult for awhile. Just know that she is with your dad smiling down on all of you. I so very much enjoyed the chance to know not only your mom but also your dad. I consider myself lucky to have known such incredible people and I will never forget them.

We heard about Mary Anne's death from Karen VanMaldegiam and were sorry we couldn't attend the Mass. Your Mom will be missed at Sanibel by the pool where she always had a kind word and a laugh for each of us. She and Bill were one original owners at Sanibel Beach Club II along with Doug and Annetta. They are all probably collecting shells and stories in heaven while we mourn. Thinking of your family,

So sorry to receive word of the death of your mother. We haven't met, but I am a relative working on our family history. My mother was Jean Shea, Mary Anne's cousin. Someday we must get this family together and celebrate the wonderful people who preceeded us. My sympathies.

Dear Carolyn and family,
What a beautiful and loving photo tribute to your mom. She had a very rich and full life, surrounded by many friends and a loving family. Her joyful smile was infectious, just like yours Carolyn. Alan and I send our sincere condolences. May you find peace in your many wonderful memories of an amazing mother and friend. Hugs...

My thoughts and prayers are with your family through this difficult time. Our parents and your parents were SUCH good friends. We found so many pictures when our dad passed away of your parents with ours at the Notre Dame games many years ago. Your mom and my mom enjoyed SO many bridge games for so many years. It's hard to believe they are all gone. Hopefully, they are all up in heaven looking down at all their kids saying "have a good life"...Sincerely, Mary Dawson Chapman

Barb, Dan and family,
I'll never forget your Mother (and Dad's) hospitality to our family whenever we would venture up to the lake. My kids still say, " Sometimes we wish you were more like Mrs Howard!" when I don't have a huge delicious spread available or a minute to talk to them about the fun they are having. She was a wonderful role model for us all. I know she will be sorely missed. Take care.

I am very sorry to read of Barb's mother's passing - it's never easy, no matter how old they are or sick/frail they have become. I wish you all condolences, and my prayers will be with you. I am sorry this had to hapeen right during the middle of the holiday season - that must be extra hard to handle. Best wishes - dede (Richardson) Wright
