Norman Welker Obituary

Norman Welker, 68, Burnettsville, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born Aug. 28, 1947, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Vearl and Maggie R. (Dubuque) Welker. On April 12, 1970, in Flora he was married to the former Mary Jane Wilson, who survives.
Norman was retired from Shaffer Dairy.
He was a member of the 54 Car Club and the Winamac Eagles
Norman enjoyed woodworking and fishing. .
Surviving with his wife Mary Jane are two sons, Brian Welker, Burnettsville and Shawn (Amber) Welker, Royal Center; one brother, Bob Busch; two sisters, Patty Newell and, Vearladene Turnpaugh.; and grandchildren, Dustin, Colton, Isabelle, Nathanial Welker and Haley Gleitz.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John Welker; and one half-sister, Mary Kathryn Russo.
Visitation hours will be from 4 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday in Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Norman Welker will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Rev. Scott Ellison officiating.
Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery.
