Robert Hattersley Obituary

Robert A. Hattersley, Salinas, Calif., passed away peacefully of natural causes while surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 6, 2016.
He was born on July 27, 1922, in Fort Wayne and graduated from Fort Wayne North High School. He married the former Rosa Lee Hall in 1943.
He obtained his bachelors and masters from Purdue University in Agriculture. Robert was an eagle scout, beloved father and husband, and a decorated WWII veteran. He spent most of his career working as a County Agent in Monticello, where he and Rosie had many friends.
Bob and Rosie moved to California upon his retirement, where he continued to keep busy helping his youngest son Steve in his construction business, birding, and playing golf. Bob was a kind, loving, and supportive father to his three boys and a devoted husband to his beloved wife Rosie. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, Peter (Darlene) Hattersley, Orinda, Calif., Denny Hattersley, Knoxville, Tenn., and Steve (Cindy) Hattersley, Chualar, Calif.; grandchildren, Laura (Matt) Hegarty, Ryan (Jana) Hattersley, Erin Hattersley, Colin (Lauren) Hattersley, Heather DelBene, Lindsey Hattersley and Jenna (Darius) Hattersley; and great-grandchildren, Drew Hegarty, Paige Hegarty and Shea Hegarty, Ryan DelBene and Tessa DelBene, Brayden and Catherine Hattersley.
There will be a private family celebration of his life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Central Coast VNA and Hospice.
