Sue Wilburn Obituary

Sue Wilburn, 76, Monticello, passed away Saturday evening, Feb. 25, 2023, in Community North Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born Dec. 12, 1946, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marjorie (Jones) Mast. On April 24, 1965, she was married to Douglas Wilburn. He preceded her in death Sept. 15, 2020.

A homemaker, her world centered around her family. She enjoyed boat rides with her husband and family. Life was good and lake life was the best. In fact, Sue's heart was like a lake with a calm, still surface and great depths of kindness. And her heart was even more full of love for her grandchildren - she was always there for them - watching them at their events - wearing the biggest smile in the crowd.

Sue was a member of the New Hope Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Jayette's, the ladies' auxiliary of the Jaycee's. She was an avid reader, especially when it came to her Bible, and she enjoyed collecting anything to do with daisies.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Shanetta Wilburn, and Jody and Krista Wilburn, all of Logansport; six grandchildren, Tyler Raisor, and Jake, Parker, Collin, Jalon and Chloe Wilburn; her great-granddaughter, Aisley Wilburn; and her siblings, Mike Mast, Indianapolis, and Marcia (William) Pear, Logansport.

A Funeral Service celebrating Sue's life will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 3 Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jeffery Hayes officiating. Friends will be received from 5 p.m. until the time of the service Friday in the funeral chapel.
