Alan Abrahamson

Alan (Aaron) Abrahamson, 72, a lifetime Norwalk resident passed away Sunday at home. Alan was born in Brooklyn, NY January 23, 1936. He was the son of Michael and Tillie Abrahamson. Alan leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Sheila Abrahamson and two sons Michael and Steven Abrahamson. Alan was the proud grandfather of Mark, Caitlin, Rachel and Nathan Abrahamson. Alan grew up in Norwalk and attended the University of Connecticut. He served his country in the army and married Sheila upon his return from service. Alan was the owner of Greenberg''s clothing store, a Norwalk landmark, for many years. Alan was a self taught computer expert and a founding member of the Fairfield County Users Group. He was the Data Systems Manager for the City of New York Fire Department. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Mid-Fairfield Hospice, 761 Main Avenue Norwalk, CT 06851--who eased his pain when it was most needed.

Funeral Services will be held TODAY, September 8, 2008 in the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Burial will follow in Independent Hebrew Society Cemetery, 143 Richard''s Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
