Allan Palma Obituary

Allan Palma, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2011.

He was born on March 30, 1931 in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies, son of the late Basil Palma and Miriam Rose. Allan retired after twenty-three years of service with Klaff's of Norwalk, Connecticut. He was predeceased by his wife Miriam Slater Palma.

He is survived by seven sons, Robert Palma, Conrad Palma, Phillip Palma, Donovan Palma, Wayne Palma, Rohan Palma and Kirk Palma, five daughters, Marlene Palma, Lavern Palma, Joan Palma, Aretha Palma, and Jacqueline Jarrett, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Two sons, Everton Palma and Norris Palma predeceased Allan.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at Canaan Institutional Baptist Church, 31 Concord St., Norwalk, CT with Rev. Roosevelt Ewell officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.

Arrangements entrusted to Downer Funeral Home, 75 East Ave., Norwalk, CT 06851.
