Anthony Cutugno Obituary

Anthony J. Cutugno, 57, a Norwalk resident passed away on January 23, 2010 at Norwalk Hospital. He was born on July 1, 1952 in Stamford. He is survived by his devoted wife, Donna M. Caruso Cutugno and beloved daughter, Serena Idira Cutugno. Mr. Cutugno graduated from Stamford Catholic High School. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for the past 35 years as a mail handler. He is survived by his loving parents, Salvatore Cutugno and Mary Cingari Cutugno of Stamford, and his loving mother-in-law, Mary Tummillo Caruso of Stamford. He is predeceased by his father-in-law, Felix C. Caruso. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Cutugno of Stamford; brother-in-laws, Nicholas Caruso and his wife Doreen of Fairfield and Phil Caruso and his wife Kimberly of Stamford, his sister-in-law, Mary Gentile and her husband Joe of Monroe. Mr. Cutugno enjoyed bowling and golf, and loved being with his family.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will be conducted in private. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Serena Indara Scholarship Fund, c/o Donna Cutugno, 6 East Rock Road, Norwalk, CT 06851.
