Norwalk Resident
Daniel D. Secchi, 84, of Norwalk, husband of Mary Lou Barrows Secchi, died Sunday, May 18, 2014 in Norwalk Hospital.
Born in Norwalk, March 21, 1930, son of the late Dominick and Marion Kmicinsky Secchi, he was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Secchi retired from Automatic Signal Corporation in 1981 as plant superintendent. Dan was a member of the South Norwalk Boat Club since 1952 and was an Exchange Club member for twenty-five years. His loves were his family and boating.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include daughter Linda Hayo and her husband Carl of Trumbull and son David Secchi and wife Laura of Patterson, New York; three grandchildren William Secchi, Matthew and Amanda Hayo.
Private services with military honors were held. Disposition is also private.
The family requests memorial contributions to South Norwalk Boat Club, P. C. Johnny Rogers Scholarship Fund, 17 Mack Street, So. Norwalk, CT 06854 or Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fairfield County, P.O. Box 489, Wilton, CT 06897.

Dad, Rest in peace knowing you've left an indelible impression on all of us, NOT just with those baby blue and good looks but with your gentlemanly ways. know you were loved more than you could ever imagine, and appreciated more with each passing year.
