Don was my boss when I worked as a maintenance helper at Vallerie Transportation during the summer before I went to college in 1970. He wasn't all fun and games but he was a good boss and a fair boss. He always found us things that needed to be moved, swept, painted, or cleaned out. I spent 2 summers working for Don and I remember the blue uniform he wore, the blonde hair, and his smile. Both myself and another high school graduate from Norwalk High, Arnold Nelson, always made sure we were busy when Don patrolled the loading docks and maintenance garage. A good guy I knew 50 years ago.

I have many happy and wonderful memories of Uncle Donnie. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. He loved his family very much and was in turn loved by them. Uncle Donnie was there for me when I really needed him and I will never forget how much he helped me. Love you Uncle Donnie, say hi to my Mom Bette and Uncle Bobbie!
