Doris Kurtessis Obituary

Doris A. Kurtessis, 80, wife of the late Louis P. Kurtessis of Norwalk, passed away August 25, 2011. Born August 2, 1931, she was daughter of the late Harry Kortz and Esther Hagadorn Kortz.

Born in Troy, NY, Mrs. Kurtessis also lived in the Netherlands and Long Island before moving to Norwalk in 1967 where she settled and raised her family.

Mrs. Kurtessis is survived by her sons Bernard McHugh and Stephen Kurtessis, both of Norwalk, and by her daughter Katina Davis of Fairfield. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Athena and Joseph Davis and Stephen and Rachel Kurtessis; and by nieces and nephews, James, Denise, Richard and Angelo Alexander, and Lisa, Tina and Dawn Kochian.

She was predeceased by her sisters Bernice, Inez and Dorothy.

Friends may call on Thursday, September 1, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM.
