Elizabeth Ehlers Obituary
Former Resident of Norwalk
Elizabeth “Betty” Crawford Ehlers, 90, formerly of Norwalk, died May 11, 2014 in her home in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Born September 8, 1923 in Kirkcaldy, Scotland to William and Hannah Bell, Betty came to the United States with her family when she was 5. She spent her childhood in New York City.
In 1959, she and her husband Donald moved to Norwalk, CT with their daughter Elizabeth. Betty resided in Norwalk for 41 years. In 2007, she moved to Williamsburg, Virginia.
While in Norwalk, she was a member of Norwalk United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents and husband Betty was preceded in death by a brother, sister and a great-grandson.
She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Hannah Givens and son-in-law Dave Givens of Williamsburg, VA; four grandchildren Kimberly Root of Hampton, VA, Meredith O'Brien of Williamsburg, VA, Patricia Walsh of Goffstown, NH and David Givens of Manchester, NH and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three nieces, four nephews, their children and many other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, May 18th at Jamestown Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg, Virginia. The family asks that any donations go to the Arthritis Foundation.

With Deepest Sympathy. Have great memories as Mrs. Ehlers paperboy and also her husband bringing out a telescope for all the local kids to look at on Burlington Court. To a life well lived!
