Ellen Coffey Obituary

Ellen Traub Coffey, 85, of East Haven, wife of the late Thomas J. Coffey Jr., died Sunday, December 10th, at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Born in Stamford, October 25, 1938, daughter of the late Fred and Muriel Traub, she was a graduate of Stamford High School. Mrs. Coffey worked for a number of years as a switchboard operator for AT&T as well as volunteering for the Leukemia Society.
Survivors include her two daughters, Debbie Dean, of East Haven and Sharon Coffey, of Norwalk. Mrs. Coffey is also survived by her two sisters, Priscilla Desoiza, of Sarasota, FL, and Diana Hartley, of Pensacola, FL. Mrs. Coffey loved spending time with her family and friends and playing bingo.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated Friday, January 12, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk.
Contributions are requested to Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, 65 High Ridge Road, Stamford, CT 06905.
