F. Cutuli Obituary

F. Jeffrey Cutuli
November 25, 1955 ~ January 22, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, Jeff Cutuli, on January 22, 2021, in Redwood City, California and resided in San Jose. He was the most wise, curious, and selfless individual, and he will be dearly missed. An avid cyclist and backpacker, he had a deep love for nature and everything outdoors. He gave back to others and his community with remarkable acts of selflessness and kindness. His endless jokes and stories brought happiness to all those he touched. An extremely devoted parent, he pushed his children to success in their academic and extracurricular endeavors, raising them with tremendous pride and joy. He was a loving husband to his wife, Donna, for 24 of the 32 years they knew each other.
Born November 25, 1955, to Joe and Florence Cutuli, Jeff grew up in Norwalk, Connecticut. He attended St. Joseph's Parochial School in South Norwalk and graduated alongside his twin brother from Norwalk High School in 1973. He then attended and graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelors' degree in Chemical & Materials Engineering. Early in his career, Jeff developed a passion for clean tech energy and became a road warrior, travelling along the east coast as a project engineer before relocating to Italy for a couple years. He identified semiconductor technology as a key player in clean energy, and with his analytical forte, he headed to west to seek the action in Silicon Valley.
Jeff ventured west on his Italian-bought Moto Guzzi motorcycle in the summer of 1981. He completed an MBA at the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, AZ, and arrived in Silicon Valley in the summer of 1983. Jeff built a career in the emerging microelectronic and photovoltaic industries, developing strategic alliances and international markets within them. He became known for his experience in managing business operations and sales for a pair of Japanese companies. Eventually, Jeff returned to the classroom, first as a teacher at UC Berkeley Extension and later as a Masters' student, completing a Masters' degree in Chemical & Bioengineering at San Jose State University in 2006. He spent the latter years of his life devoting his time and energy towards the betterment of his children's lives.
He is survived by Donna and their three children: Ale, 23; Andre, 22; and Aric, 20. He is also survived by his twin brother, Richard (Judy), and two sisters, Debbie (Joel) and Denise. He was 65 years young. He leaves behind many friends and family on the east coast, west coast, and internationally.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, August 10th, 11:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06855, followed by interment will be at St. John's Cemetery. A separate west coast celebration of life will be held in San Jose, California in early September.

I attended St Joseph's with Jeffery. Fond memories of him and his twin brother. His obituary is a beautiful reflection of his life. I shall remember him in my prayers.
