Georgia Skane (née McNamara), 79, of Arlington, VA, entered rest on March 30. Ms. Skane was born in Chicago, IL on October 10, 1942 to Willard and Josephine McNamara. She grew up in Evanston, IL and graduated with a B.S. in nursing from Loyola University of Chicago in 1964. She had a long career in nursing, and most notably, from 1979 until her retirement in 2005, Ms. Skane was a highly respected psychiatric nurse at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, CT. Ms. Skane will be laid to rest in a service of Catholic interment at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations to Silver Hill Hospital be made in her memory.
