John DePanfilis Obituary
Lifelong city resident, John P. DePanfilis, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Bridgeport Hospital. He was 92.
Born June 13, 1933, he was predeceased by his father, Anthony, mother, Valverdina, brothers, Anthony and Ralph, and sisters, Angelina Ottaviano and Carmella. John is survived by his brother Vincent, 97 of Norwalk, sister Mary Gargiulo, 107 of Prior Lake, MN and by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
John served as a Private in the Connecticut Army National Guard. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed being outdoors and taking care of the multi-family home where he grew up in Norwalk.
Family and friends may celebrate John's life with: Visitation on Monday, November 17, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow after at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
