Joseph Farina, 92, of Simsbury, Connecticut, passed away on December 18, 2022. He was born in East Rutherford, NJ and lived there for 29 years then relocated to Norwalk, Connecticut for over 30 years. He also lived in Pembroke Pines, Florida for 10 years. Mr. Farina proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Prior to retiring in 1993, he was a machine operator for Pitney Bowes in Stamford, CT for 32 years. Beloved husband of the late Gloria (nee Pugliese) Farina. Loving father of Kathleen Duford and her husband Michael and Joseph John Farina. Cherished grandfather of Leah and Grant. Dear brother of Betty Farina and the late Anthony Farina, James Farina, Caroline "Carrie" Tortora, Christine "Tina" Sottilaro, Anna Cocozzo, Eleanor Germane, Carmela "Mela" Trotter, Donata "Nettie" DeRosa and Mary Biasucci. Caring uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral departing from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt, NJ on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 9:00 AM for a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, East Rutherford, NJ at 9:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Visitation prior to funeral from 8 to 9 AM. The family requests that masks be worn.
