Lawrence Sanna Obituary

Larry was a local businessman and also served his country in the Merchant Marines. He was a member of the DAV. Survivors include three sons Lawrence V. Sanna, Jr., John F. Sanna and Joseph A. Sanna; two brothers Francis Sanna and John Sanna, Jr.; two sisters Joanne Raychel and Anne Jacobsen; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Jean; his sons Francis Patrick and Peter and his wife Jean B. Hyatt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 25 at 10 am at St. Aloysius Church, 40 Maple St. in New Canaan. Family and friends will meet at church. Burial with full military honors will follow at St. John Cemetery. Larry’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Monday from 5 - 8 pm. At this time, there are no words other than words of comfort, words to try to heal the pain. Losing someone dear to us is NEVER easy. Please take comfort in the fact that you are surrounded by people that love & care about you. My sincere condolences. May “pops” rest in peace. May God rest his soul. May the angels be with him.
