Linda C. Bagnell of High Point, North Carolina, formerly of Norwalk, CT, passed away on August 13, 2024, at the age of 81, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Linda was predeceased by her devoted husband of 61 years, Stephen F. Bagnell. She was born in San Antonio, TX, on April 27, 1943, to the late Lt. Col. James P. O'Leary and Betty Jessup O'Leary.
Linda was a graduate of Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, AZ. She attended the University of Arizona, then received her Associate Degree from Norwalk Community College. She worked for Save the Children for over three decades and was the Assistant to the Director of the Asia Pacific Region. While at Save the Children, Linda travelled to Jakarta, Indonesia and the Philippines and was inspired by the children and the families she met.
Linda loved being a Eucharistic minister at St. Philip Church in Norwalk, CT, and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in High Point, NC. She was gifted at knitting and made many prayer shawls for those in need. Linda is survived by her children: Colleen Bagnell-Mulligan and husband, Kevin of High Point, NC, Jeff Bagnell, and Amy Bagnell Favano and husband, Roger. Affectionately known as Nana, Linda adored her five grandchildren, Tim and wife Heather, Matthew, Christine, Marissa, and Caroline, and her two great-granddaughters, Abigail and Rory. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Amelia O'Leary, and brothers, Michael O'Leary, and Patrick O'Leary and wife Cynthia, many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Lily.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 17, at 10 a.m. at St. Philip Church in Norwalk, CT.
