Michael Caserta Obituary
Michael S. Caserta, lll, age 60, originally of Fairfield, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Laurel Ridge Health Care Center in Ridgefield. Michael was born on July 20, 1956 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, son of the late Michael S. Jr. and Anita Maiorano Caserta. Michael attended Andrew Warde High School and graduated with honors from Sacred Heart University, studying part of a year in Ireland.
Michael was employed by Pitney Bowes in Stamford as a senior computer operator for more than 20 years. He was also a member of the Redding Grange.
Mickey (as he was called by his family) is survived by cousins Jane Ventrella and her children, cousins Sal and Nora Amato, and close family friend Rachelle Cinque. He was predeceased by Charlene Cinque Teeple, his mother's godchild. Mickey was supported in his life and faith by his dear friends of the Newtown Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 1 at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Friends may call from 10:30-11:30 A.M. Group prayer will be conducted by Bishop Ron Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Newtown CT. Burial will immediately follow the service at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue.

I remember Mickey beginning back in Fairfield Woods days when in the lunch room he pested my constantly calling me " foo foo bunny ", never knew what that meant. He was a nice kid. Always smiled when I read his comments in the newspaper throughout the years. So sad to learn of his passing.

I knew Mickey from roller skating at the Mosque in Bridgport.He also worked for my dad at Miro Farms briefly. He was a very kind, smart young man. May he rest in peace.
