Michael W. Donnelly

Michael W. Donnelly died peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Stamford Hospital after a short illness with his family by his side. He was born in Norwalk and was predeceased by his mother Mary and father Robert Donnelly. Mike is survived by his loving wife Joan and two sons Mike and his wife Kim and Dennis and his wife Meegan. He has four grandchildren whom he adored: Mike, Sean Casey and Scott. He is also survived by two sisters Mary Jane of Norwalk and Pat Ferreri of Naples, Florida. He has two brothers Robert of Norwalk and John of Fairfield. He was predeceased by two brothers Thomas and William. He has numerous nieces and nephews who will all miss him very much. Mike had a deep devotion, dedication and love for his family. His sense of humor and insightful advice will be missed by his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and took pride in his lawn and plantings. He was known for his “happy hour” on the beach at Cape Cod. He worked for many, many years at LSF Publishing and enjoyed his work and cared deeply for the people who worked for him. He will be missed there. Calling hours will be at Shippan’s Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home (next to the Knights of Columbus) 453 Shippan Ave Stamford, CT on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 4-7:00 PM . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cecilia’s Church at 1184 Newfield Ave. Stamford, CT on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 10:30 AM.
