Parthena Papachristou Obituary

Resident of Norwalk Parthena Papachristou, 61, wife of Athanasios Papachristou of Norwalk entered into eternal peace on Monday, December 21, 2015. Born in Greece on January 10, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Efstathios and Maria Kitmiridis. Parthena was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart, and selflessly thought of others before herself. In addition to her husband Athanasios, Parthena is survived by her son Evangelos Papahristou and his wife Zinovia of Norwalk, a daughter Evdoxia LoBue and her husband Philip of Norwalk, five grandchildren; Athanasios, Lazaros and Parthena Papahristou and Patricia and Ariana LoBue. Parthena was also survived by her two brothers George and Nick Kitmiridis. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Sofia Papadopoulos. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 27, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road, Norwalk. Funeral services will take place in the church on Monday, December 28, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk. I had the honor of meeting Penny, and she was truly one of the kindest people I had ever met. She put everyone's needs before her own and made everyone feel welcome in her home. I know she will be missed greatly by all who have known her. My sincerest and heartfelt condolences to her family.
