Peter Christakos Obituary
Peter was a longtime resident of Fairfield before moving to Easton 13 years ago. He was the proprietor of Famous Pizza House in South Norwalk for 44 years.
A beloved, husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his loving wife, Dimitra, of 45 years, his devoted children Elias Christakos and wife Gina, Vicky Seremetis and husband George, Kostas Christakos and wife Katerina and Barbara Christakos, his six wonderful grandchildren, his siblings Mary Katsetos and Dr. Manny Christakos and several nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be held at Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street, Bridgeport (on the Trumbull line) on January 4 (Wednesday)from 5-8 P.M. with a Trisagion Service at 6 P.M. Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Avenue, Bridgeport on January 5 (Thursday) at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. Andreas Vithoulkas Presbyter officiating followed by burial at Lawncroft Burial Park, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Peter's name may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604. How do i say this and where do i start, Everything hurts especially my heart.Since the loss of you i've learned to live for each and every day, and take it as a blessing knowing it may not always be this way.Since the loss of you, I've learned that even when your in a lot of pain you've got to hold yourself together so that you dont go insane, Since the loss of you i've learned to hold back the tears when i really want to cry, because all i have is memories and i just want to ask God why ? but Mostly, Since the loss of you I've Learned a life can be taken in a blink of an eye and only heaven knows when that person will have to say Goodbye. Wow I am speechless!!! I can remember growing up as a child in Norwalk and eating at Famous when it was down a few doors on the corner...It was definitely the "GO TO" spot...Pete was ALWAYS so nice and he treated everyone with respect...my prayers are with his family

I am sorry to hear about Pete's passing...he was a great and friendly person, always smiling. We grew up on Putnam Ave and would walk to Famous for the "best pizza" in Norwalk and as adults, still go to "FAMOUS" for pizza. He will be missed. He was like a family member to all who grew up in South Norwalk. My deepest condolences goes out to the family of Pete.
