Raymond Emond Obituary

Raymond G. Emond, Sr.
Raymond G. Emond, Sr., 88, of Norwalk, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Patricia, and their son, Raymond Jr and daughter Jacqueline Marucci. He is also survived by his grandchildren Raymond III, Alison (Adam), Kyle, Amanda, Bryan and his great-granddaughter, Alyssa Rossi, and a brother Claude Emond. He was predeceased by his parents, Gerard and Marie (Luneau) Emond, and sisters Aline Tavella (Joe) and Pauline Landman.
Ray was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joys in life were his children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, and his dog Kenzie.
Ray worked at Stew Leonard's in Norwalk for 15 years doing HVAC. He then worked in transportation for 10 years transporting cars across the East Coast. After he retired from transportation, he was a crossing guard for the Norwalk Public Schools.
Ray loved spending time in the garden, keeping the grass perfectly mowed, weeds pulled and everything watered. When he wasn't gardening, he was tending to the pool, reading, or watching the Food Network.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 10 a.m., at St. Matthew Parish, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, with interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery.
