Richard Glaser Obituary

Richard Glaser
March 15, 2023
Richard Glaser died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. He was 80 years old. Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Judith Glaser, who passed away four years ago. Richard leaves behind his children, Jake Glaser and Rebecca Rabson, their spouses, Liz Glaser and Jeremy Rabson, and his four grandchildren, Sean and Marcus Glaser and Gideon and Eli Rabson. He also leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Carole Glaser, and his companion, Connie Freeman.
Rich had a PhD in biochemistry from University of Kansas and was a devoted Jayhawk fan. He was an avid crossword puzzler who regularly completed the NYT Sunday puzzle in pen and enjoyed a good martini. Rich loved to cheer his Connecticut grandsons on while they played hockey, even at the 7 am games. Though he moaned about it, he also loved to play word games with his Boston grandsons when he visited. Rich was the bee's knees, a true oner, and someone who will be missed by all of those who he leaves behind.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 17th at 3:00 PM at the Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT. Interment will be private. Shiva will be observed, at 5 Shorehaven Rd. in Norwalk, immediately following the funeral.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation ( lustgarten.org ).

Was shocked to read of Rich's passing. Always enjoyed his company at the dog park with Keisha. He was super intelligent and was a great conversationalist. Will definitely be missed by all. My sincere condolences to his children, Jake and Becky.

Rich Glaser was one of the most uplifting supportive forces to ever enter our lives. He was the sweetest soul and generous beyond all measure. Rich is one of the greatest mentors to ever support and lead my partner, and he always encouraged us to love each other and succeed. What a beautiful man. My sincerest condolences for the family.
