Rita Weiss Schroeter

Rita Weiss Schroeter, age 91, passed away February 22, 2011. Services will be held at a later date in Norwalk, CT. Mrs. Schroeter was born in Hamburg, Germany and had lived in Hartsville, SC for the past 14 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Surviving are two daughters, Rose Levy and Ruth Helms, both of Hartsville; two sons, Bernhard Schroeter of Upton, MA, and Hans Waldmann of Alstead, NH; one sister, Lissi Minar and one brother, Walter Siedel, both of Hamburg, Germany; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar Waldmann and her second husband Werner Schroeter.
